Fire Damages Lockport Home: Fire Department
There is approximately $70,000 worth of damage to the home.

LOCKPORT, IL — A home in Lockport Township was damaged by a house fire on Friday night. Lockport Township Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Frank Blaskey said the department responded at 8:29 p.m. Friday, June 22 to a home in the 400 block of Connor Avenue.
It took 10 minutes to bring the fire under control, Blaskey said. The fire was upgraded to a general alarm which brought in assistance from Lemont, New Lenox, Northwest Homer, and Troy Fire departments to provide station coverage while Lockport companies worked at the fire.
Blaskey said the cause of the fire is under investigation, but it started in the basement of the home. The damage to the house is approximately $70,000. No one was injured in the fire.
