Five Homer Glen Businesses Fail Tobacco Compliance Checks
The sheriff's office said that 10 businesses were visited, and five were found to be in violation.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Five Homer Glen businesses were found to be in violation of selling tobacco products to youth customers after a tobacco compliance operation from the Will County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said that 10 businesses were visited, and five were found to be in violation. After the violation occurred, employees that sold the products were issued citations with a mandatory court date.
Businesses in violation were: Smokers Kingdom at 15753 S. Bell Road, Homer Glen Smoke and Vape at 14201 S. Bell Road, Circle K at 14310 S. Bell Road, Sly Smoke Shop at 14326 Golden Oak Drive, and King Tut Smoke at 14310 S. Bell Road.

The five businesses that passed the compliance check were Cigarettes and Cigars on Golden Oak Drive, Speedway Gas on W. 143rd St., Smokers Expo on W. 143rd St., Meijer located on S. Bell Road, and Circle K on South Bell Road.
The sheriff's office said the tobacco compliance operation was conducted by the Will County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Will County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
