Homer Glen Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint: Cops

A suspect is in custody after an armed robbery at a Homer Glen gas station on Monday.

HOMER GLEN, IL — Will County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Speedway gas station, 15060 S. Bell Road, in Homer Glen at 12:01 a.m. March 12. Police said a man wearing a mask, pointed a black firearm at the employee and forced him to empty his register.

The man then ran toward Bell Road, met with another unknown person in a dark-colored car, and left travelling northbound on Bell. Police said a witness of the incident followed the vehicle northbound on Bell Road and was able to see the license plate, before they lost sight of the car in Lemont.

Crime scene investigators processed the scene, and took the surveillance footage. Will County Investigations was contacted and an investigation into the incident has begun.

The Sheriff's office currently has one suspect in custody, pending charges, and another person of interest is being questioned at this time.
