Homer Glen Plants Trees For Arbor Day, Lands Day

The spring rains and inclement weather delayed the planting of the trees in Evlyn's Gate North Park.

HOMER GLEN, IL — After some delay, two trees have been planted at Evlyn's Gate North Park to celebrate Arbor Day and Homer Glen Lands Day. Homer Glen Lands Day was originally planned for the spring, but had to be held in the fall due to the weather.

The village said the spring rains delayed the planting of the Arbor Day tree until this fall. Two bitternut hickory trees were planted at the park, and were donated by resident Roger Ross.
