Homer Glen Postpones Town Center Community Workshop

It will be rescheduled to a later date.

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen's town center community workshop, which was planned for Nov. 28, has been postponed, the Village said.

It will be rescheduled to a later date.

The Village said that based on resident engagement so far, concepts for a new town center will focus on a location across 151st Street from Village Hall.

In this early planning of the project, three phases were identified as part of the project timeline, according to the project website. Phase 1, which was engage and assess, took place from February to May.

Phase 2, market assessments, took place from June to August. Now the final phase, concept development and plan, started in September and will end in March.

"In Phase 3, the Team will envision the proposed development through concept plans and renderings for the new town center," the project website states. "The concepts will include massing and scale, retail mix, commercial and housing strategies, and phasing opportunities."
