Homer Glen Teen Found Safe: Sheriff's Office

This is the second time in two weeks that Georgia Alexandros has left her home against the wishes of her family.

HOMER GLEN, IL — UPDATE: The Will County Sheriff's Office said 15-year-old Georgia Alexandros has been found and is safe.

ORIGINAL STORY: A 15-year-old from Homer Glen has run away from her home, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office. Georgia Alexandros left her home against the wishes of her family on March 14; this is the second time in two weeks that Alexandros has run away.

Police said they and her family have been actively looking for her and hope someone has information on her whereabouts. Alexandros has spoken to a family member over the phone, as recently as 2:30 p.m. Monday. She does not have her own cell phone but is using a friend's phone.

Police said, in the past, Alexandros has been known to be in Oak Lawn or in the area of Lockport.
