Homer Junior High students ready for 2017-18 school year

The summer slumber is nearly over for Homer School District 33C students.

This week, the schools began opening their doors to students and their families, giving them an opportunity to visit their schools before the start of the 2017-18 school year.

Aug. 17 was Homer Junior High School’s turn.

Students picked up their class schedules and walked the halls, finding their classrooms and lockers.

Some brought pictures and mirrors to decorate their lockers while others kept it simple and just dropped off their school supplies.

The first day of school is Aug. 23.
