Homer Township Fire District Hiring Administrative Assistant
The position is part-time, and is $15 an hour.

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Homer Township Fire Protection District is currently seeking applicants for a part-time administrative assistant position. According to a release, this position is responsible for a variety of business related administrative tasks and reports directly to the Fire Chief. The administrative assistant is responsible for a variety of office tasks; including but not limited to accounts receivable entries, answering phones, greeting visitors, maintaining files, taking minutes at board meetings, coordinating workers compensation claims, processing FOIA requests, preparing correspondence and reports.
The position requires at least 2 years of prior office experience. According to the job posting, the qualified individual must be detail oriented possessing excellent organizational, communication and data entry skills. Must be proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks a plus) and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word); Powerpoint a plus. Candidate must be able to meet deadlines, retain accurate files and handle multiple projects.
This is a part-time position that will begin as soon as possible. Successful candidate may work up to 30 hours per week. Starting pay is $15 per hour.
