Jewelry Store Burglary, DUI: Homer Glen, Lockport Blotter

Will County Sheriff's Office reports through Dec. 10.

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Lockport

  • Anthony Wright, 37, of the 300 block of Princeton, was arrested Dec. 4 in the 300 block of Princeton for criminal trespassing.
  • Justin Ziegler, 36, of Joliet, was arrested at Dec. 5 at Rich's Yamaha, 14353 S. Archer Ave., for retail theft. He was held on a IDOC warrant.

Homer Glen

  • Someone broke into a vacant home in the 15000 block of South Sulky Drive on Dec. 4 and stole the copper piping from the basement.
  • Racquel McCain, 30, of Chicago, was arrested Dec. 4 at Jewel Osco, 14200 S. Bell Road, for retail theft and obstructing identification. She also had a DuPage County warrant.
  • Peter Smilguis, 52, of Lockport, was arrested Dec. 5 at 151st and South Rosarie Drive for driving off roadway and DUI.
  • A hole had been cut through the drywall into Lord and Hunt Jewelers, 14222 S. Bell Road on Dec. 10. The steel door of the vacant business next door was pried open and a hole was cut in the drywall to gain entry into the jewelers. The owners were unclear at time of report what was missing from the store.
