LOCKPORT, IL — During its July speed enforcement campaign, the Lockport Police Department said it issued 264 speeding citations.

- Nine seat belt citations
- Two fugitives apprehended
- 10 suspended/revoked licenses
- Six uninsured motorists
- 44 other moving / equipment citations
- Four distracted driving citations
The speed enforcement effort was made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, according to a news release.
