Lockport Police Participate In Thanksgiving Campaign

Lockport Police will be patrolling the streets during this campaign from Nov. 16 to Nov. 26 and will be looking for unbuckled passengers.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Police Department will participate in a Click it or Ticket campaign over the Thanksgiving holiday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is partnering with local law enforcement across the country for the high-visibility campaign, according to a release.

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel times of the year. Lockport Police will be patrolling the streets during this campaign from Nov. 16 to Nov. 26 and will be looking for unbuckled passengers.

The Click It or Ticket campaign is designed to save lives by making sure all Lockport drivers and passengers get the message to wear their seat belts. The department said Lockport police will be out in force ready to issue tickets to people not wearing seat belts.
