Man Shot In Chest While Sitting In Lockport Township Home: Police
The man was shot in the chest, and was conscious when police arrived on scene.
LOCKPORT, IL — Earlier this month, a 45-year-old man was struck by gunfire while sitting in a Lockport Township home, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office police reports. The incident happened Sept. 3 in the 400 block of North Avenue.
According to police reports, the man was sitting on the couch in the living room when the home was shot with several bullets at 8:40 p.m. The man was shot in the chest, and was conscious when police arrived on scene.
A witness at the scene told police they saw a silver four-door sedan, possibly a Dodge Stratus, with tinted windows, in the area when gunshots were heard.

The man was taken to Silver Cross Hospital, and was in stable condition after the incident, according to police reports.
