New Homer Glen Trustee Appointed
The vacancy was due to the recent resignation of Brian Burian, and Caprio will serve the remaining term ending in May 2021.

HOMER GLEN, IL — At its April 8 meeting, Carlo Caprio was appointed to the vacant trustee position for the village of Homer Glen. The vacancy was due to the recent resignation of Brian Burian, and Caprio will serve the remaining term ending in May 2021.
According to board documents, the village received 15 applications for the vacant trustee position. Caprio previously served on the board from 2015 to 2019, but lost the election in 2019 for another term.
"You're one of us again," Mayor George Yukich said at the meeting. Yukich welcomed Caprio to the board, and thanked those who had applied for the position.

Caprio is also a commissioner for the Homer Township Fire Protection District, and has served on various committees for the village of Homer Glen as well, board documents state.
Trustees Ann Holtz, Sharon Sweas and Beth Rodgers attended the meeting via Zoom due to the coronavirus pandemic; Yukich, Caprio, trustees Keith Gray and Ruben Pazmino and several other village staff members attended the meeting in-person.
