Lockport Residents Lose Power After Wednesday's Storms
With no power and expected heat index values of 105 degrees, residents may need to access cooling centers.
LOCKPORT, IL — Update: As of 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, 55 Lockport customers remained without power, and 21 customers in Lockport Township had no power.
Original post: After severe weather moved through Lockport Wednesday morning, over 1,000 residents are without power. According to ComEd, 1,482 customers in Lockport are affected by outages, and 22 in Lockport Township are affected.
One of the larger outages is near Dellwood Park, according to the ComEd outage map. The outage off of Lawrence Avenue is affecting 1,079 customers, and there is no estimated restoration time listed yet. ComEd is currently scheduling a crew to assess the issue, according to the outage map.

Another round of severe weather is possible Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening, and a severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for Lockport until 1 p.m.
