• Masked Men Burglarize Homer Glen Gas Station, Smash Gaming Machines: Cops (patch.com) — Residents may want to be aware that a group of masked men armed with sledgehammers burglarized the Gas N Wash on West 159th Street in Homer Glen early Saturday morning, targeting and smashing gaming machines before fleeing with cash. Deputies from the Will County Sheriff's Office arrived minutes after the call but found the suspects gone, and the investigation into the brief, destructive break-in remains ongoing.
   

• Homer Glen Suspends FLOCK Use After Will County Sheriff's Deputy's Misuse (wjol.com) — Homer Glen has temporarily shut off its Flock license plate reader cameras after a Will County Sheriff's deputy was placed on leave over alleged misuse of the system. Village officials cite privacy concerns and say the suspension will remain while an internal investigation and protocol review move forward, urging residents to stay safe and vigilant in the meantime.
