Lockport Approves Service For Soft Recyclable Collection
The service can be provided with no cost, and the City actually would receive minor revenue, according to council documents. Much like the At Your Door program, residents would call Simple Recycling to schedule pick-up at their door.

The Romeoville Village Board approved a purchase for body cameras for its police department at its Wednesday Village Board meeting. During the workshop portion of the meeting, Chief Ken Kroll said the department is buying its body cameras ahead of the 2025 state mandate deadline.
A day after the Homer Township Board approved the sale of Purdy Farm, the township has now ceased negotiations and terminated the proposed sale, according to a release from Township Supervisor Steve Balich.
