Road Closures Expected Friday For Lockport's Old Canal Days Parade
State Street will be closed between Thornton Street and Division Street beginning at 5 p.m. Friday for the Old Canal Days Parade.
LOCKPORT, IL — The Old Canal Days parade will step off on Friday, and road closures are expected, the Lockport Police Department shared.
State Street will be closed between Thornton Street and Division Street beginning at 5 p.m. Friday.
"Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time when traveling through the downtown area," police said. "Please use caution when driving near the parade route and follow all directions from public safety personnel."

Old Canal Days 2026 is set for June 11 to June 14.
The annual tradition features a parade, family-friendly attractions, a carnival and rides, an artisan market and local vendors, and live music and entertainment. Food and beverage are also sold at the event.

The parade will once again kick off the weekend, with carnival rides and games open each festival day. Some attractions will include a petting zoo, caricature artists, cemetery history tours and more.
The artisan market will be held on Saturday, and a fireworks show will close out Sunday night festivities.
