Sexual Abuse Charges For Lockport Man

LOCKPORT, IL — A Lockport man was booked into Will County Jail on charges of misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse. Brandon Stellwag, 18, of the 1300 block of Argo, was booked into the jail at 5:32 p.m. Aug. 21.

According to Will County Jail's website, Stellwag was booked on charges of misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse, less than five years older than the victim. The offense occurred on June 1.

Will County Spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said deputies took a report June 11 from the parent of a juvenile teenage girl who became aware that her daughter was involved in a sexual relationship with Stellwag. Detectives conducted an investigation and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Stellwag was arrested on Aug. 21 on three counts of Criminal Sexual Abuse and was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. His bond was set at $2,500, Hoffmeyer said. He posted the necessary 10 percent Aug. 23 and was released on bond.
