Sixth Annual Fundraiser For Homer Glen Nonprofit Planned Saturday

The sixth annual Country Western fundraiser will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Shady Oaks Camp, 16300 S. Parker Road, in Homer Glen.

HOMER GLEN, IL — Holistic Riding Equestrian Therapy, a nonprofit based in Homer Glen that provides therapeutic riding for veterans and people with special needs, will hold a Country Western fundraiser on Saturday.

The sixth annual Country Western fundraiser will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Shady Oaks Camp, 16300 S. Parker Road, in Homer Glen.

Live entertainment from Strawdawg, line dancing with Boot Scootin' Judy Rice, games, and a therapeutic riding demo will all be offered at the event. The fundraiser will end with an online auction, which can be accessed in-person or remotely using a QR code, the organization said.

"This annual fundraiser provides the funds to keep the horses fed and healthy this winter when classes are suspended due to the extremely cold Chicagoland weather," the nonprofit said.
