Here's a look at what Lockport police have been up to in the past week.
LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Police Department regularly sends out reports of their activity. In the past week, they've dealt with multiple speeders and uninsured drivers, alongside a distracted driver and a drug arrest.

Around 9:50 a.m., a 24-year-old South Holland man was at the Lockport Courthouse on Ninth Street when officers learned he had a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and released on bond.
Around 10:15 p.m., police saw a driver who was texting while on the road. A 23-year-old Lockport woman was driving. Police charged her with electronic communication devices prohibited while driving. Her passenger, a 21-year-old Plainfield man, was charged with obstructing justice and had two warrants out for his arrest. The woman was cited and released and the man was taken to Will County Adult Detention Facility.

July 20
Around 1:50 a.m., an officer saw a car going north on State Street without tail lights. The 49-year-old Joliet man was charged for driving with a suspended license and with improper lighting. He was released with a court date.
July 22
Around 2:45 p.m., a 58-year-old Oak Lawn man turned himself in on an arrest warrant at the Lockport Police Department. He was released on bond with a court date.
July 24
Around 8 a.m., police stopped a car for speeding in the 700 block of N. State Street. The driver, a 28-year-old Lemont woman, was charged with driving without a valid license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. She was released with a court date.
July 25
Around 3:45 p.m., police stopped a car going south on State Street for crossing over the center line. The driver, a 32-year-old Lemont man, was later found to be in possession of a controlled substance, police say. He was charged with possession and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
