Stolen Car, Burglary: Homer Glen, Lockport Police Reports

Will County Sheriff's Office police reports through July 1.

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Lockport

  • A 2010 Buick Lacrosse was stolen from a driveway in the 16000 block of West Tameling Drive on June 25. The car was unlocked and keys were inside the car.
  • Two cars were damaged by two men at Bayardo's Auto Repair, 3326 S. State St., on July 1. The men were seen on video surveillance checking multiple car doors in an attempt to open them. The men were driving a dark blue Jeep.
  • Two packages were stolen from a home in the 2600 block of Lawrence on July 1. Video surveillance showed a man wearing a white T-shirt and jeans taking the packages from the front door.

Homer Glen

  • The homeowner was sitting inside his garage around 1:45 a.m. June 27 in the 14000 block of South Parker Road when two men exited a white SUV and ran into his garage. One man was described as 5'9",thin, with dreadlocks and wearing a dark bandana over his lower face. This man was holding a handgun in each hand and demanded money, the homeowner told police. The homeowner told the man he had no money, and the man took the homeowner's phone and handed it to the second man. The second man was described as about 6'0", medium build, and also wearing a dark bandana over the lower portion of his face. He also had a handgun in each hand. He demanded the passcodes from the homeowner's home and returned to the SUV, which was driven by a third man. The second man also went through cabinets in the garage, and took a backpack containing clothes and a Ring camera/doorbell that was new and still in the box. The homeowner was not injured.
