Suspicious Men Approach Child At Bus Stop: District 92

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at a bus stop, the district said.

LOCKPORT, IL — A 10-year-old child was approached by two suspicious males in a car on Tuesday afternoon, according to a letter from Will County District 92. The school alerted families about the incident on Tuesday evening.

Police said they received a call around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday from a parent who said their son had encountered a suspicious person at the corner of 151st Street and Bunratty about 30 minutes previously.

There were two men in a black SUV who asked the child to get in the car, according to the letter.

According to police, the child got off the bus and heard someone yell out to him to “come here” from a passing vehicle. The child got scared and ran home.

Police said the car never came to a stop, and there is no description of the driver or any passengers.

There will be extra patrols in the area out of an abundance of caution, police said.
