3 Injured In Lockport Township Shooting: Sheriff

There is no one in custody after a shooting Wednesday night in unincorporated Lockport Township.

LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, IL — Three people were shot Wednesday night in unincorporated Lockport Township, the Will County Sheriff's Office said. When police arrived to the 200 block of Robson at 10:04 p.m. Thursday, they found three people who had been shot.

The wounded include a 25-year-old man shot in the back, a 17-year-old boy shot in the buttocks and a third person who suffered a graze wound to their hand.

Police said the 25-year-old was taken to a local area hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery. He is in stable condition. The 17-year-old was also taken to a local area hospital and later released. The person who suffered a graze wound refused treatment at the scene.

According to police, several homes in the area also had property damage, but they were not the intended targets and no one else was injured.

Police said interviews have been conducted and evidence was collected from the crime scene, although there is no one in custody for the incident.
