Trantina Farm Issued Non-Compliance Advisory Letter By Illinois EPA
The letter requires the Township to submit a written response within 30 days.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Trantina Farm property, owned by Homer Township, was issued a non-compliance advisory by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency earlier this month.
The advisory letter was issued on Aug. 2, and requires the site to have a stormwater construction permit, IEPA Public Information Officer Kim Biggs told Patch.
The letter requires the township to submit a written response within 30 days, Biggs said. As of Aug. 10, the IEPA hadn't received a response.

Homer Township Highway Commissioner Brent Porfilio told Patch Wednesday that paperwork was filed last week with the IEPA and other agencies.
After the response, the IEPA will evaluate information provided by the Township and make a final determination on whether a permit is required, Biggs said.
