Woman's Jewelry Stolen During Ruse Burglary: Homer Glen Blotter

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
April 18
- An female suspect in her 60s knocked on the door of a elderly woman's home asking about the brickwork on her house in the 12000 block of West Forest View Drive on April 18. The elderly woman invited the suspect inside and showed her more brickwork in the backyard. She then talked to the suspect in her living room before another younger woman opened the front door and yelled that they needed to go. The suspects quickly left, and later it was discovered that jewelry was missing from the home.

- Cody Prince, 23, of Lockport, was arrested April 22 at 143rd Street and South Golden Oak Drive for possession of controlled substance after a traffic stop.
