2 Shot During Brawl Outside Walmart Fuel Station In Homewood

Homewood police have multiple suspects in custody after a shooting left two people wounded.

HOMEWOOD, IL - Two people were shot Sunday evening during a brawl that developed outside the Walmart Fuel Station in Homewood, according to police. The injuries sustained by the two gunshot victims appear to be non-life threatening.

Homewood police responded to the gas station at 17550 S. Halsted St. at 8:07 p.m., when they learned that "a physical fight in the parking lot" between several people led to the shots being fired.

Multiple people are in custody, but as of 11 a.m. on Monday charges have not been filed.

Police say there is "no apparent ongoing safety issue" in connection with the shooting.
