39 Grams Of Pot Found On Driver At Walmart: Cops
Homewood police also made recent arrests for DUI and retail theft.

The following information is from the Homewood Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
DUI
Charlie Best, 24, of Sauk Village was stopped at 183rd Street and Park Avenue at 3:23 a.m. on Sept. 16 and charged with improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor, driving under the influence and driving with an alcohol concentrate of .08 or more.

Retail Theft
Penny Pearman, 42, of Chicago Heights was charged with retail theft and criminal trespass to real property at 6:10 p.m. on Sept. 15 at Walmart, 17550 S. Halsted St. Pearman concealed items and passed the final point of purchase without making payment for the items which had a total retail value of $56.91. Pearman had previously been given notification that she was not allowed on the property.

Michael Mundell, 39, of Calumet City was charged with retail theft at 3:36 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Home Depot, 17845 S. Halsted St. Mundell concealed items and exited the store without making payment for the merchandise which had a total retail value of $347.
Cannabis Possession
A 33-year-old man from Hazel Crest was stopped by police at Walmart at 5:43 p.m. on Sept. 13 and cited for improper use of registration, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of cannabis 30-100 grams. The man was in possession of approximately 39 grams of cannabis.
