
It seems as though, from the very first day of school, students are told that they should be taking notes whenever their teacher is speaking. But rarely are students given instruction in how they should be taking notes when their teacher speaks. Note taking may be the quintessential learning tool, study skill, and classroom activity, yet most students don't know-that's to say, they've never been taught-some of the most useful note-taking techniques.
