Alicia: My Story

WomanLore’s Betsey Means portrays the true story of Alicia Appleman-Jurman, a Holocaust survivor who was just a young girl when she began saving lives of people she did not know. She rescued other Jews from the Gestapo, led them to safe hideouts, and lent them her courage and hope.
WomanLore’s one-woman performances are adapted directly from journals, autobiographies, and personal writings and offer a complete theatrical experience. All performances are authentically costumed and designed accurately evoking the era being portrayed.
