Amnesty Program Offered For Unpaid Tickets In Homewood

Anyone with overdue parking, red light or local ordinance citations in Homewood can get 50 percent off if paid before the end of November.

HOMEWOOD, IL - Anyone with overdue citations in the village of Homewood has a chance to get 50 percent off their outstanding balance if that amount is paid before the end of November. That's the deal described by the Homewood Police Department in announcing a one-time amnesty program for those with unpaid parking, red light or local ordinance citations.

The program is open to anyone who has citations that have or will be sent to a collection agency prior to Sept. 1. No refunds for payments made prior to the amnesty period will be issued.

The program does not affect any payment made through the Illinois Comptroller's Local Debt Recovery Program.
