Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of Teen In Glenwood

A person younger than 18 has been charged in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Cleonte Henderson in Glenwood.

GLENWOOD, IL — Police in Glenwood arrested someone in the shooting death of Cleonte Henderson, a recent Homewood-Flossmoor High School student who was in a home in the 300 block of Longwood Drive in Glenwood at the time he was shot and killed a week ago Sunday.

The person arrested is a juvenile, Glenwood police said. They worked with the Lake County, Indiana Sheriff's Office and St. John, Indiana Police Department in making the arrest on Nov. 4. The juvenile is being held in Indiana and is awaiting extradition, according to police.

An "altercation" led to the Oct. 27 shooting that took Henderson's life, police previously said. Henderson was 18.
