A "Humbug Witch" visits Infant Jesus of Prague School
A twenty-something year-old witch visited Kindergarten students at Infant Jesus of Prague School. Parents and staff alike endeared the Humbug Witch, who adorned picture windows, refrigerators and walls of the IJP Community for years. It was connected to a learning activity for youngsters in the community as a Halloween tradition.
The students learned the story, by author Lorna Balian, of a supposed witch. It was marked by the anticipation of discovery. Staff member, Ms. Mary Wernicke said, “My child is twenty-three years old and I still have the humbug witch she created many years ago.”
