Force refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Lower South Liberty, recording a 10-0 victory on Sunday at USSSA ESPNHS WORLD SERIES. With nine runs in the first three innings, Force left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An error and a two-run single by Sarah Burke in the first inning and a groundout by Taylor Kwiatt, a two-run single by Sam Donermeyer, a groundout by Angela Roberts, and an RBI single by Samantha Smolka during the second inning helped Force put some runs on the board early. Donermeyer went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Force. Burke had an impressive outing against Lower South Liberty's lineup. Burke held Lower South Liberty hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five. Force matched its one-run third inning with one more in the fourth. In the third, Force scored on an error, scoring J'Naye Bridgeforth.
