Force take out Strike Force with help from Donermeyer, 8-4

Force beat Strike Force 8-4 in six innings on Friday at USSSA ESPNHS behind Sam Donermeyer, who collected three hits.

She singled in the first, third, and fourth innings.

Katie Steinmetz recorded the win for Force. She allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings. She struck out one, walked none and surrendered seven hits.

In the bottom of the first, Strike Force grabbed the early lead,Force didn't relinquish the lead after scoring five runs in the third inning when it scored on a two-run double by Samantha Smolka and two singles.

One Strike Force baserunners came all the way around to score in each of the third, fifth and sixth. In the third, Strike Force scored on a solo home run.

Force built upon its lead with two runs in the fourth. A clutch sacrifice fly scored Donermeyer to open the scoring in the frame.

A one-run sixth inning helped bring Strike Force within four.
