Art is in the air at IJP. Infant Jesus of Prague School has a history of success with its band program, spring musicals and theatrical productions. Fine Arts instructor, Terese Frederickson hosted the Art and Music in Our Schools Assembly on March 13, 2013. The assembly celebrated the presence of art in classrooms and careers creative arts. Frederickson was joined by Visual Artist, Sylvester Bracey and musicians Robert Hauser, Ann Koranda and Ryan Koranda. The student audience listened intently to the presenters and sang along to “Sing a Rainbow” and “De Colores” to close the event.

The event promoted diversity of content in instruction. Ann Koranda said, “Students of music today are not only mastering their instruments, they are taking business courses and many other liberal arts courses so that they understand many academic disciplines.”
