The Midwest Motet Society is still having summer auditions--and here are the Top Ten Reasons why you should audition!

Is There Still Time to Audition?  Top Ten Reasons Why You Should!

There is plenty of time to audition for the Midwest Motet Society’s fall concert cycle AND be able to attend the August 11 Retreat with South Suburban College’s Dr. Albert Jackson.  So get a move on—we’re waiting for you to come and join us!

We love to sing together and we’re a bit, well, um, quirky.  You may be wondering how quirky but never fear, not THAT quirky!  You just might fit in with others who get together for 12 weeks at a time, twice a year, to sing music others in the south suburbs don’t sing. And we sing different kinds of things each concert—from the Swingle Singers to Poulenc and Bach—how’s that for a range? This concert cycle, we’re singing music from three different religions—Anglican, Jewish and Roman Catholic—with all the pieces composed about the same time, during the late 1500s/early 1600s. Told you we are a bit quirky, but the good kind! If you sang this kind of music in college and miss singing it—then the Midwest Motet Society just may be the choir for you—we’re a chamber choir and PROUD of it!
