HF-Force18u defeats Team Oak Stars after late game single, 6-5

After five lead changes in Saturday's game at USSSA No. IL State,HF Force finally pulled out a 6-5 win over Team Oak Stars.HF Force took the lead in the eighth inning and held on for the victory.HF Force went up for good on an RBI single by Sydney Battle , bringing home J'Naye Bridgeforth. Angela Roberts racked up four RBIs on three hits for the HF Force. She doubled in the first inning, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.  Katie Steinmetz worked out of six difficult moments for Force. She pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits. Steinmetz faced her most difficult moment in the eighth inning.  In the top of the first, Force grabbed the early lead, 2-0. A double by Roberts, scoring Battle started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for Force when Roberts scored on a steal of home.
