McAuley Ends HF's Softball Season

Homewood-Flossmoor drops 5-2 game to Mother McAuley despite efforts of Shereyk

Kaitlyn Shereyk did all she could to give Homewood-Flossmoor a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Mother McAuley, as Homewood-Flossmoor lost 5-2 in seven innings at HFHS on Saturday.

Homewood-Flossmoor was led by Shereyk's hitting. Shereyk went 2-3 and scored one run. She singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Mother McAuley went up for good in the fourth, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Micaela Carney.

Mother McAuley increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. A ground out scored Emily Powers to get Mother McAuley on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Emily Marousek's single, bringing home Carney.
