While St. Joseph School students have been enjoying the final few days of summer, workers at the Homewood school have been busy putting on the finishing touches of the new state-of-the-art science lab. The lab will feature the very latest in science equipment for hands-on interactive learning which includes a new "smart board". Construction on the lab began in June and will be completed before the new school year starts on August 21.
"The new lab will enhance our already strong science curriculum," said principal Tom Kozak. "We're very excited, our science teacher is excited, and we know our students will be too."
In addition to the new science labe, two more "smart boards" will be installed in other classrooms.
