Western Avenue School Volunteer Tea

Western Avenue School held their annual Volunteer Tea on Friday, May 18.  The tea was held to honor all of our wonderful parent volunteers.   Our school is great because of the hard work of all of our families.  We believe that a good relationship between the home and school is the foundation for student growth.  It is our goal to build a sense of community so that parents and school staff work together in educating our students.  Specifically, our objective is to support parent volunteer opportunities and school activities.  Everyone at Western Avenue believes it is important to work together to ensure maximum growth for our students.  Next year, the PTO and the school will be working together to promote the 100% Parent Volunteer Program.  The goal of this program is to have a parent or guardian from each Western Avenue family volunteer at least one time during the school year.  The PTO and Western Avenue staff have worked together to suggest many opportunities for parents that may be provided in the school setting or from home.  Our progress will be updated monthly and communicated to all of our families.
