Calling all 4th Grade Teachers!

Free 4th Grade " In School" Program

Do your students know where their food comes from? From GPS to drones, agriculture professionals are using the latest technology available to produce our food, fuel and fiber. Bring these and more STEM connections to your students through our 4th grade Ag in the Classroom Program. Agriculture is the science of cultivating soil, producing crops and raising livestock. During our free one hour “In-School Field Trip”, students will learn the farm to consumer process through both discussion and hands-on activities.

What is the free “4th Grade In-School Field Trip”?

The In-School Field Trip provides fourth grade students the opportunity to experience Illinois agriculture without leaving the classroom! The presentation connects to Common Core and Next Generation Science standards and provides teachers with concepts to explore further in their lesson planning. Ag in the Classroom exists at a county, state, and national level. The program is fully funded, so there is no cost.
