Fall Family Campout
This weekend is the Flossmoor Fall Family Campout. For a $10 registration fee, you can camp in on Saturday Oct. 1. There will be a cookout, campfire, games, raffles and movies.

Garlic Fest
Do you love garlic? Head over to the Thorn Creek Garlic Fest in Park Forest on Saturday Oct. 1 from noon to 4 p.m. There, you’ll learn about garlic braiding, cooking, planting and, of course, garlic will be for sale. Parking is $5 for cars and $1 for bicycles.

Great Pumpkin Party
Make your way over to Orland Park from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 1 for the Great Pumpkin Party. is the place to be for hayrides, crafts, scarecrow stuffing and a flashlight pumpkin hunt. Oh, and it's all free!
The Spitfire Grill
Enjoy a little theater and catch “The Spitfire Grill” playing at the Illinois Theatre Center in Park Forest. The show will be running at 8 p.m. from Sept. 28 through Oct. 1 as well as 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2. Ticket prices range from $20 to $22 depending on showing.
