“The Golf Outing is one of our signature events,” says Sue Armato, Executive Director. “This is the only Golf Outing in the South Suburbs where businesses, individuals and community members have raised funds that directly affect the quality of life of those living with cancer and their families.”
In 2014, The Center provided more than 10,700 hours of programming and more than 300 free wigs, scarves and hats to women who were losing their hair due to chemotherapy, demonstrating the need in its communities. Offices are located in Homewood, 2028 Elm Road, and Mokena, 19657 S. LaGrange Road, and the programs are also facilitated at several hospitals and cancer centers in the southland communities. The Center is able to provide these resources to anyone regardless of financial ability because of the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations.
