Cancer Support Center Invites Community to Mission in Motion Annual Open House on March 26

Cancer has a way of touching lives in ways we never expect. Whether through a personal diagnosis, the experience of caring for someone we love, or simply knowing someone who is walking that road, its impact reaches far beyond the exam room. The Cancer Support Center’s Annual Open House, Mission in Motion, invites the community to step inside that reality and see how support, connection, and compassion make a difference.

Taking place on Thursday, March 26, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Cancer Support Center’s Homewood location, Mission in Motion offers an opportunity to learn more about the free emotional, educational, and practical support available to anyone impacted by cancer, at any stage of the journey. From the uncertainty that can come with early testing to treatment, survivorship, and loss, the Cancer Support Center exists to help ease the experience and ensure no one has to navigate it alone.

In 2025 alone, the Cancer Support Center offered more than 100 programs supporting individuals and families impacted by cancer. The breadth of that work is often hard to put into words, which is why Mission in Motion is designed to be experienced firsthand. Throughout the evening, guests will learn about the Center’s 2025 impact and gain insight into its vision for 2026, while exploring the programs and services that make that impact possible.

These services include counseling and support groups, nutrition and wellness programs, educational workshops, and resources for caregivers and loved ones—each created to help people navigate the cancer experience with greater clarity, connection, and support.

Mission in Motion is also an invitation to those who feel called to help make this work possible. Now more than ever, community support is essential to ensure these services remain available at no cost. The event will highlight ways to get involved through volunteering, partnerships, and sponsorships, including sponsor benefits such as CSC Wellness at Work, a professional development and wellness program offered to sponsoring organizations.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the people behind the mission, explore the space, and participate in an interactive scavenger hunt that brings the Cancer Support Center’s work to life, with chances at giveaways. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

Mission in Motion takes place on Thursday, March 26, from 5:00–6:30 PM at the Cancer Support Center, 2028 Elm Road in Homewood.
