The Cancer Support Center presents Writer Workshop Series

On Saturday, September 19, 2015, The Cancer Support Center will host a Writers Workshop Series at its Homewood location, 2028 Elm Road.

On Saturday, September 19, 2015, The Cancer Support Center will host a Writers Workshop Series at its Homewood location, 2028 Elm Road, Homewood, Ill., from 10:30 to 2:30 p.m. Join the of author Help me Remember Who I am and Fire & Ash: The Alchemy of Cancer, Christine Sherwood for a discussion of her work and personal cancer experience.

This workshop series will feature discussions from local professional writers on their own work and will provide guidance for participants in their own writing. All writing styles are encouraged and no experience is required. A light lunch will be provided. To register please call The Cancer Support Center at 708-798-9171.

In 2014, The Center provided more than 10,700 hours of programming and more than 300 free wigs, scarves and hats to women who were losing their hair due to chemotherapy, demonstrating the need in its communities. Offices are located in Homewood, 2028 Elm Road, and Mokena, 19657 S. LaGrange Road, and the programs are also facilitated at several hospitals and cancer centers in the southland communities. The Center is able to provide these resources to anyone regardless of financial ability because of the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations.
