Cantor Jenny Izenstark Musical Tribute
Temple Anshe Sholom presents on Sunday March 13, 2016 a Cantor's Concert in memory of Cantor Jenny Izenstark.
On Sunday March 13 at 2:00 pm Temple Anshe Sholom in Olympia Fields will present a complimentary Concert in memory of Cantor Jenny Izenstark who passed away in November of 2014. The program will be presented by friends and colleagues of Cantor Jenny as a tribute in music to celebrate her life. Cantors from New York and Chicago will be joined by Baritone Carl Ratner and the Temple Anshe Sholom Adult Choir.
Jenny Izenstark was the Cantor at Temple Anshe Sholom from 1993-1998 and returned to Temple Anshe Sholom in 2013 and 2014 to do the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Shortly after Jenny passed away, the Temple Board began planning a memorial concert open to the entire community.
The concert is free and a complimentary kosher desert reception will follow the concert.
