Capturing Nature On Camera At Izaak Walton Preserve

A bevy of beautiful Spring images are ripe for the capturing of anyone with a camera at Izaak Walton Preserve in Homewood.

, in all of its 193 acres, is a true asset to Homewood.

Walk a three-mile trail and bring your camera. Make sure to stop every so often to look at the nature surrounding you—like the ducks paddling in Willow Lagoon or the spiders making new homes in fallen logs along Lake Walton.  

Take a morning and fish at fully stocked Lake Akela and Lake Walton. Feel the warm breeze and walk to find ancient sand dunes along the path. The former glacier area is a goldmine of study for home schoolers and botanists alike.
