Chicken Care Classes

Backyard chickens are now allowed in Homewood! If you’re interested in
raising chickens and want to learn how to care for them properly, this
two-part course is essential. Taught by Jennifer Murtoff, the Midwest’s
only chicken consultant, and sponsored by Hens for Homewood and World of
Enrichment. Follow the link below to register.

Session 1 (10 AM to noon) will cover chicken care basics, and
Session 2 (12:30 to 2:30 PM) will cover coop building. You can sign up for
either session for $18 per person, or both sessions for $30.

Sign up early! Registration ends May 31. This course is open to participants 12 years and older.
Maximum 20 participants per class. Light refreshments will be provided;
participants enrolled in both sessions should bring a bag lunch.
