Districts 153, 161 Close Schools, Opt For E-Learning Ahead Of Storm
The Homewood and Flossmoor school districts will be closed Friday and shift to e-learning plans.
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — Homewood District 153 and Flossmoor District 161 have decided to close their school campuses for Friday, in anticipation of what's predicted to be a significant winter storm that could bring up to nine inches of snow with 50 mph wind gusts to the Chicago area.
Both districts will implement plans for e-learning, instead.
Infant Jesus of Prague School in Flossmoor is also closed Friday.
