Driver Killed In I-57 Crash Sunday
Henry Burel of Plainfield lost control of the SUV he was driving near 139th Street early Sunday morning.
RIVERDALE, IL -- A driver was killed on Interstate 57 near Riverdale early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes. Henry M. Burel, 37, of Plainfield died after he lost control of the Chevrolet SUV he was driving around 3:20 a.m., according to a CBS-Chicago report.
The report states Burel was navigating a curve from the middle lane and veered onto the left shoulder and struck the left wall near 139th Street. All lanes of the expressway were closed for hours as police investigated.
